Relationship advice for single women has revealed that couples who experience a strong, close, loving relationship have fewer health Putting attention and effort into your relationship will enhance the quality of your life.


Scientists are investigating the biological/behavioural factors that account for health benefits of connecting with others.


Studies are showing that connecting with others helps to relieve the level of stress that can adversely affect coronary arteries, gut function, insulin regulation and the immune system. The quality of our relationship matters!

Other research suggests that caring behaviour triggers the release of stress reducing hormones

There are a range of activities that qualify as social suppor

  1. Seeking help and advice

  2. Affection - hugs, cuddles, kissing

  3. Caring involvement with others may be one of the easiest health strategies to implement.

  4. Focus on healthy eating – improves your healthy and stamina.

  5. Mental and emotional health is vital in a healthy relationship.

  6. STRESS – keep stress at a minimum


Suggested Activities:

  1. Do things that bring you joy and happiness

  2. Join a healthy activity that you really enjoy

  3. Plan special outings together

  4. Organise a weekend get-away

  5. Arrange a bike-ride in nature

  6. Engage in an activity you have never done before.

  7. Enrol in a cooking class – healthy foods

  8. Visit places you have never seen before.

  9. Take a walk near the ocean and watch the sun set on a mountain or high ridge

  10. Be spontaneous – the joy you feel will be exhilarating.


Partners: send your partner off to share time with friends – bonding time.

Foster Trust and Understanding is imperative in a healthy relationship. Enjoying separate interests is healthy for the both of you.
